Calangute Beach
This is considered the “Queen of Beaches” of North Goa. Calangute is equally popu lar with Indian tourists as well as International tourists. During the Indian summer holidays of April & May this beach is packed by beach lovers and picnickers from all over India. Calangute is the busiest beach of Goa. Calangute has it all, seafood, beach shacks, beer on the beach, souvenir shops, party places, and beach accommodations. Calangute beach is also the longest beach in Goa with Candolim beach continuing on the left and Baga beach continuing towards its right. This beach of Calangute lies only at a short distance of around 08 minutes by motor bike from Mount Valley Guest House in Monte Guirim.
Sinquerim Beach
This beach has the distinction of being the first 5 Star beach of Goa, as it has the first 5 Star beach hotel that is Taj Aguada Beach Hermitage Resort at Sinquerim beach. A part of the Aguada fort juts into the beach and sea front over here which is accessible by the general public. Lots of Film shootings take place at the extreme end of Sinquerim beach as the film stars stay in the 5 Star Hotel and shoot their acting scenes on the beach front. Ten minutes distance away by bike is Mount valley guest house of Monte Guirim.
Candolim Beach
The beach of Candolim is a favourite haunt of most foreign tourists. Most Indian tourists head towards Calangute and most Foreign tourists head towards Candolim beach. Candolim beach has the best of Seafood Shacks and plenty of water sports activities to choose from over here. The tourist season of Candolim beach begins late in mid-November and Christmas is the time to head to Candolim beach. Mount Valley Guest House is located at a distance of around 10 minutes’ drive by bike.
Baga Beach
The beach of Baga is an extension of Calangute beach. Where Calangute beach ends and where Baga beach begins its very difficult to spot. Baga beach is famous for its golden brown sands. Also this beach has regular organized boat transportation to the other side of the cliff to visit the weekly Anjuna Flea market every Wednesday. These Baga beach to Anjuna beach boat ride s are available only on Wednesdays. Baga beach on the extreme north side has a tiny meandering Baga river meeting its destination here. One can organize wooden dugout canoe rides over the Baga river towards the interiors. Guests living at Mount Valley Guest House also can enjoy on Baga beach the Dolphin boat rides and many adventure water sports like Para Sailing.
Coco Beach / Nerul Beach
This is the only beach of Goa in which a horizon cannot be seen. Rather one can see the city line or city scape of Panjim city right in the front. This beach is located in the village of Nerul just after crossing over the bridge close by near Candolim Tinto (junction). Nerul beach is more popularly known as Coco beach. This beach is famous for bird watching, river boat rides, fabulous Goan sea food restaurant below the bridge and quite surroundings. The beach of Coco or Nerul beach is just a short bike ride from Mount Valley Guest House.
